Topic RSSOut of This World produced a cinematic style not common in the 16-bit era. At the time the cut scenes seemed so amazing and before its time. Does this gameplay and visuals still stack up today? Read the review and find out.

OfflineI am truly torn.
On one hand this represents a direction that I despise, paving the way for QTEs, Hour-Long Cutscenes, and this pretentious dipshit
On the other hand despite it’s cinematic direction it does none of those things and remembers that it is a GAME first and foremost, and a solid one at that.

OfflineI’m glad that someone else reviewed this game (especially jrsupermoore, considering his avatar). I had an interest in reviewing this game after this one website I like called the greatest videogame ever, but it looked too daunting for me to be honest about it.
Bringing up David Cage, yeah, stuff like “Heavy Rain” probably is divisive. I also value games as games first and experiences second (which is why I’m not really into “Earthbound”), so Cage probably isn’t my man.

OfflineI like this game. Known in Europe as ‘Another World’ it’s very different to anything else available on the 16-bit systems. I wouldn’t say it’s astounding, though I did feel that way on its release but it’s strangely persuasive – playing it makes me want to discover the next sections despite the amount of lives I’d run through.
