Sailor Moon fast became one of my favorite shows when it was running on television. I was first introduced to the DIC version, where the characters had English names. So naturally I think of Sailor Moon’s alter-ego Usagi as Serena, etc. It’s difficult for me to get used to the Japanese names, but for a game like Another Story, I’ll have to deal.

John reviews it here.

I remember watching this show as a kid and thus game was a lot of fun even if it wasn’t the most challenging game.

There’s been some recent news I find appropriate for this thread. Viz Media is leading a “Sailor Moon” revival in America, and their licensing deal includes a new sub, a new dub, new Blu-Ray sets, and a remake. Every last episode of the original show is included, even the previously-unavailable final season.

It’s exciting for me to see people reacting to this news, even though I’m the only one I know who’s interested.

Thanks for posting this. I was once a huge Sailor Moon fan and my sister still is. She recently bought some DVDs from the first season.

This is the TV series that really got me into anime and I’m happy it’s getting re-released. I’m assuming they are going to use the Japanese names even in the English dub though. I’m used to the English names. But I can get used to the Japanese names if we’re getting a brand new dub and on Blu Ray to boot!
