Lots of folks loved wrestling growing up, and enjoyed video games that represented the sport well. I was a big fan of the Nintendo game Wrestlemania. Saturday Night Slam Masters was on my radar ever since its release in North America way back when. I finally played it in 2012. Was it worth waiting for? Here’s my review.

this is a great review and a great game. I don’t think it is the best wrestling game on the Super Nintendo. But with fire pro wrestling being in Japan only, I think that this is a great alternative.

It’s the best wrestling game in North America for the SNES (and Genesis too).  It’s too bad that Capcom didn’t try to get some licensed wrestlers for this; it could have been huge.  At least it has Haggar!

Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

I didn’t see what you guys saw. It was slow and frustrating and not fun to me. Have any guys played 3 Bout Count? How does that compare?

Mas, never played that game… Going to have to look into it and get back to you! But SNSM is probably the best wrestling game that I know of.

Completely agree. Great presentation and graphics however it plays slow, cumbersome and trying to do anything near those turnbuckles is horrendous.

Anyone for Stardust Suplex?

Is Stardust Suplex a SFC game?

Yep, it’s one of a number of female wrestling games from Japan as well as female wrestling management sims!?

One of the first wave of SFC games I ever imported Stardust Suplex is by a comparatively unknown company called Varie and it’s fairly decent for what it is.

I’ve never heard of that, goes. Is that really a cool game?
