I think it’s always interesting replaying a video game you used to play when you were younger. “Was that game really as good as I remember?”, one might ask himself.

Sometimes nostalgia can blind the experience, but if you are able to observe things objectively, you can clearly see what’s in front of you.

What we have in front of us is a pretty good game.

I have the darndest time taking off the rosy glasses of nostalgia when I want a review. It’s so tempting to honor a SNES title bases on joys experienced years begone. Games I’ve overrated based on nostalgia have been Bubsy, Top Gear, and perhaps even Tecmo Super Bowl I.

I think it’s something all reviewers will struggle with from time to time. Maybe it takes experience to kinda turn that off, I’m not sure.
