OfflineThe Lion King, the video game, couldn’t possibly live up to its namesake, one of the most beloved animated films of all time. Or could it? Find out here.
jrsupermoore,
Some of the major rubs with the Super Nintendo version of this game were the controls and bad hit detection based on what others said over the internet. Did either of those things effect your enjoyment of the game? Did they exist in your mind?
I’m trying to decide if I should get the SNES or Genesis version. If the controls are awkward and it has horrible hit detection, I would rather get the Genesis version.

OfflineMasa,
I didn’t come across anything referencing knocks against the SNES version’s hit detection or controls, although I did see several pictures contrasting the visuals. This video does a good job of expressing some of the visual and audio differences between the versions. The Lion King is a top-tier SNES platformer, but for this particular title, I’d say go with the Genesis.
