Hi when I try to play a game on my snes Im getting a black screen and but I do hear some sound. For example if I put super star wars in I can hear the initial sound of the lucasarts logo screen but then it sounds like some sort of crash occurs as it stays on the same note and I dont hear the sound of the game’s title screen. Ive check the board and it all looks in pretty good condition, I feel like its a bad chip, has anyone had similar issues?

Thanks in advance

Good evening.

Does it happen with only one of your games (Star Wars) or it happens for other games as well?

If it happens only for a single game, the first thing you need to make sure is that your board has been cleaned properly.

If it happens for many of your games, the issue could be with your SNES.

A really good source of information on how to clean your cartdriges can be found on web site below:
