No, wrong on both accounts.

1) 1) Not just a video game, but also was a game in real life. Had to have a lot of courage to participate in it.

2) These “games” were just for kids …

I got nothing.  Based on the hints, it sounds like either a board game or gameshow based game, but nothing in the SNES library really fits the bill.

Taking a stab in the dark; is it Mighty Max?

Here’s a third clue:

1) 1) Not just a video game, but also was a game in real life. Had to have a lot of courage to participate in it.

2) These “games” were just for kids …

3) It was a kid’s game show in the 90’s.

A kids game show converted to a SNES game… no I really can’t think of what that could be.

Hoping that it was a US thing and that they might of devised some cool kids show – something like Smash TV? It’s obviously wrong but that is a good idea for ratings!

You guys might have to do some googling on this one. If no one can come up with a good guess in the next 24 hours, I’ll post another hint.

At least my hints this time aren’t too easy!

Nope! Let’s try again:

1) 1) Not just a video game, but also was a game in real life. Had to have a lot of courage to participate in it.

2) These “games” were just for kids …

3) It was a kid’s game show in the 90’s.

4) You could catch the show on Nickelodeon back in the day!

I’m guessing both Ghost (Brit) and I (Canadian) didn’t get Nick back then…

If it’s all the same to you, I’d rather not go. If I do go, I’ll end up posting more “Game Grumps” references as clues, and after nobody understands them I’ll get frustrated and give away the answer, like I did with “Drakkhen”. I don’t want that to happen again.

But also, I guessed it was “Guts” with the third clue.

1st Clue: I’m a sequel to a much beloved Genesis action game and I’m not an echidna.

:) First thing that came to me was Sparkster. I really love playing RKA on the Megadrive, great game and much beloved by myself and many others that have been fortunate enough to play it.

Hmmm, could be any dungeon crawler game; going to go out on a limb here; is it Brandish?

No, good effort but it’s not quite there.

1) Navigate through the underground labyrinth

2) There’s a genuinely deep atmosphere because of a lack of soundtrack – expect to hear footsteps approaching or doors opening/closing etc.
