Welcome Aldo_chan! Love your profile picture! Sunset Riders is a truly fantastic game. I still play it everytime we go for aan evening of old skool gaming on the Super Nintendo.
I will take this opportunity to re-introduce myself. My name is Tom and I’m from the Netherlands. I’ve been away for some time but I haven’t stopped gaming on the snes I did however ran in to some problems when logging in to this site. First it started with messages and soon after that I couldn’t log in with my account. And after that the site was not available to me on the internet. I tried every now and then but after some time I stopped checking…untill now! It looks like everything works fine again. There’s been quite some activity on the forum I’d say! Lot’s of new members and regular posts. Can’t wait to read them! Although it will take me a while, I’m sure I will catch up with everything that’s been posted here eventually

Hi
My name is Sean. Im from Seattle, Washington USA, currently living in North Carolina USA.
I am a huge SNES fan I am always buying up and selling games, and playing them in the mean time. I’ve owned prob near 200 different SNES games in my life, and played them all. I recently started to rebuild my collection after selling the bulk of it off a few years ago, a decision I regretted.
I currently own the following games once again: Demons Crest, Chrono Trigger, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy III, Super Mario World, Mega Man X, Zelda A Link To The Past, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Contra III Alien Wars, Skyblazer, and Castlevania Dracula X (which ill prob sell Castlevania Dracula X to get some more games I want)
I also do graphic design, so if you guys (the admins) ever need help with anything for the site, let me know. My gallery is here for my work – http://seanmichael.deviantart……om/gallery

Welcome to the forum Sean.
Heh, it’s funny how when you get rid of your old games you only end up wanting them back – did exactly the same myself years ago Over 200 titles played is pretty impressive, do you play US games or do you play import’s too?
Yep you sure have some quality games, I got to admit that I really enjoy playing CV Dracula XX despite it’s critics, the music is exceptional and it’s one of those games where if you stick with it you can make a decent amount of progression. Still hard as nails though.

Welcome to the site Seansy!
Now is actually a great time to sell SNES games since their prices have never been higher. Of course you may have a hard time getting them back later!
I remember I sold most of my SNES games in 1997 to get an N64 with Mario Kart 64; in hindsight, this was a big mistake. I sold copies of Chrono Trigger, all 3 Final Fantasy games, Secret of Mana, Secret of Evermore, Lufia, Actraiser and more! Many of these games I still don’t own today….
That said, if I were in your shoes, I’d probably sell Dracula X to get 5 or so great games, but that’s just me!
Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

Hey fellow Nintendo fans
I’m here as a member of and on behalf of an Electronic Music band called The Opus Science Collective. We’re based in Brighton, UK. We work on various music projects (original compositions and stuff), but last year a bit of fun in the studio one day spiralled into a full blown album that we recently released for free download. It was our take on a selection of our favourite music from 8 & 16 Bit SEGA games. It was a good laugh and a real self indulgent exercise in music and nostalgia. Never a chore or boring.
You see, all three of us are massive gaming fans and our love for Nintendo is just as strong as our love for SEGA. Between us we have lots of retro and modern consoles, some old handhelds, and even an Astro City arcade machine imported to the UK from Japan.
So we figured we owed it to Nintendo to do the same as we did with the SEGA music. Therefore, we’re about to embark on an album of Nintendo music remakes.
Our focus in the SNES. We all still have our original SNES’s (now all nicely yellowed – but working as well as they did on day one) and there’s some seriously great material to work with from the SNES era. However, if there’s anything from the NES/Gameboy you’d love to hear redone, let us know (that’s partly why we’re here – we want your input prior to setting to and making the tracks).
We’re steering clear of the N64 and later, as frankly by this stage the music capability of the console was so good, it doesn’t really need re-imaging, it’s awesome as it is. Just listen to the F-ZeroX or Goldendeye soundtrack! They’re amazing! Best left untouched in our view.
We touched base with the guys over on RadioNintentdo the other day. They’d heard some of our SEGA stuff and seemed enthused about the idea, so hopefully, we’ll be able to work with them a bit and get the stuff played on some of their shows and stuff too.
We’ve got a pretty major project on the go right now, but will be working on the Ninty stuff in our downtime. We should be able to devote more time to it over the summer however. So fingers crossed our output should be fairly regular as the year rolls on.
So I’ll be on the boards for general gaming chat. I’ll also create a thread dedicated to our project in the relevant section to keep you updated.
No sure if newbie’s can post links yet as this is my first post, but just search “Opus Science Collective” on google, Facebook, Twitter, SoundCloud, BandCamp or YouTube to find us..
Feel free to check us out, ask us questions, make track suggestions etc. Help yourselves to our free downloads from either SoundCloud or BandCamp. For BandCamp, just enter “0” in the box where it asks how much you want to pay for the track or album.
I guess that’s all for now, so I’ll see you on the boards.
Happy gaming and happy listening
OSC
(should note, we’re on Nintendo Fan Forum and are about to sign up on Nintendo Age as well, so if you’re on these forums, you’ll be able to find us there as well)
Welcome to the boards Opus Science. Although small, we have a good group of guys with a lot of good ideas.
You should check out this article. It lists 15 good tunes that I wouldn’t mind hearing a remix or update to. I’ll suggest more when you make the specific thread.

Hey everyone!
I’m from South Carolina and currently a CS major at Clemson University (almost done) and have been involved with video games my whole life (playing/programming). I did not grow up with a SNES but in the last 5-7 years I have spent much of my free time playing as many games as I can from this system. It has easily shot up to my favorite platform of all time and most of my favorite games are on the SNES/SFC. I’ve been searching for a community that shares my interest and this seems to be the place.
