OfflineI guess I should have done this already. Hello, my name is John Legendoffzelda. My real name is Bill, but everyone is welcome to call me John. I first played a Super Nintendo in 2002, when I was visiting my cousin’s house in Minnesota; I played “Donkey Kong Country 3” and “Super Mario Kart”. It was strange back then, going from the Nintendo 64 to the 2-D pictures of “DKC3” and such. It was like playing a Game Boy Advance, except on a real TV screen! Such was the wonder of the fourth generation of videogames.
My interest in the fourth generation was rekindled by a Super Nintendo strategy guide from 1992 I found in my school library in eighth grade. It was a fascinating read — seeing that old game console being regarded as the cutting-edge technology it once was — and served as my introduction to games like “Super Castlevania IV” and “U.N. Squadron”. From there, I arbitrarily decided the Genesis was better and left it at that. But last year I re-evaluated my position, and I’m now a permanent fan of the Super Nintendo, for all its keystone contributions to videogame history.
I found the SNES Hub — which is a very cool website and I’m glad you created it, Masamune — by accident, and learning it was only created last February I got excited at the prospect of contributing to something early on. I’ve written and submitted reviews of “Super Star Wars”, “U.N. Squadron” and “Aladdin”, and I they make it to the website.

OfflineHahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s all good! I meant your selection of games to review was good. Now I DID personally like Super Star Wars, but it definitely has its flaws. I look forward to hearing what you have to say! Part of the fun in playing these systems is the sharing of experiences.

I was but a wee lad of 6 years when my father decided to go out and buy our family an Atari system. It was pretty cool and of course all the kids came over to play at my house because they wanted to play on the game system. But once the NES came out… wow. 1986 was the year to be blown away by the 8 bit awesomeness! I finally got my own NES in 1987 and played the heck out of Super Mario Bros. And even thought that never got old, the game eventually lost its luster.
The neighborhood kids and I devised this plan that if we each coordinated our video game want list we could have a much broader rang of games to borrow from each other and so we started a pack where no one could buy a game someone else either had or was asking their parents for Christmas/Birthday. We ended up having 30 different games to borrow from each other and it was pretty dang cool.
When the SNES came out I was just entering high school and I have a ton of fun playing with my new friends (I moved to the east coast) Super Mario Cart, Mega Man X and of course Super Mario World. By the time the 64 came out I was in college and didn’t even bother to upgrade. However, who ended up being my best friend – Shawn, owned one and he loaned it to me to play the best zelda game ever made, Zelda Ocarina of Time. He continued to upgrade his systems and got a PlayStation but I had sense lost interest in the newer games. Shawn went on to be the game designer at Zynga. So you can thank him for Farmville and all that other nonsense.
I still have all my original game systems and video games including packages, instruction books and advertisements they came in. Since our family wasn’t very wealthy, that stuff meant a great deal to me and I took extremely good care of it.
I also have kept Shawn’s N64. He claims to have no intentions of playing it again but me thinks thou protest too much.

OfflineHello, my name is Victor, and I’m from Brazil.
I had an snes once, when i was a child, and in the past few months I tried to find it but seems that i’ve lost it, with all my cartridges. Then, I started to look for an snes, and i recently bought one, and just as Masamune said, now i have the snes fever.
I’m still with only a few cartridges, but my colection is getting bigger. It’s nice to talk with who have the same interests that me
Ps: Sorry about the english errors
