Welcome Rob! I’m glad you found this place. Cool avatar too. As time goes on, there will be more and more information about the SNES in these forums and in the articles. Again, welcome.

Hi. I found this site via Retro Game Age and since I am devoted fan of the SNES I thought I’d join up with this site. Betcha can’t guess what game I really like.

I’m a 30 year old long time gamer but the SNES is what turned gaming from something I enjoyed into my #1 hobby.

Likewise. Its supposed to be the 2D powerhouse that didn’t catch on in an age of “3D enlightenment”. Id like to get one for several reasons; namely games such as Story Of Thor 2/Legend of Oasis, X-men: Children of the Atom, Skeleton Warriors and Guardian Heroes. Doubtless it has other delights but those are a good start methinks.

So many great games on the Saturn that most of us will never play!

Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

I remember looking at screen shots of Dragon Force in EGM and wishing I could play that game. At the time all those sprites on the screen totally blew my mind even though at the time I had no real idea of what kind of game it was.

Allô! I’ve been looking for a Super Nintendo fans forums and stumbled upon this site :) I’ve always loved the Super Nintendo and recently became more serious about gathering snes games for my collection. I began collecting games I’ve been playing as rentals in my childhood about 10 years ago when I finally bought a used Super Nintendo. Never had a snes before.. I was playing it at a friend’s house before the N64 came out (which was my first console). So the Super Nintendo really feels to me as the legendary system I grew up with but could never get my hands on because my parents wouldn’t allow it.

I’m looking forward to discussing snes with you guys! :)

Welcome jetblue and Antarch! I’m glad you decided to join! Yes, the SNES is a legendary system which is why I felt the need to create this site.

I’m looking forward to hearing your opinions and experiences about gaming and more!

Welcome Antarch. smile Indeed, although I started my journey through gaming with the NES & Master System its the 16-bit consoles that are my favorites. I used to have an N64 myself and enjoyed it throughout my teenage years but since owning a Gamecube in the early noughties I have not really bothered with it. The Super Nintendo has a fantastic library of games to offer, I’m sure you’ll have fun with your gaming/collecting.

Hello All,

I’m an old school SNES fan — i still remember the way the console smelled when it came out of the box on Christmas morning. My first game (besides Super Mario World) was Super Ghouls and Ghosts, which remains one of the most difficult games I’ve ever played. I have my old console, but I mostly use SNESx emulator now with a wireless X-Box 360 controller.

I’m also a musician and play banjo in a bluegrass group The Buckstankle Boys (check us out on Facebook and youtube). I work as an electronics technician and spend all day repairing circuit boards. One of my favorite things to do is stay up all night playing Super Punch-Out. It never gets old beating the crap out of Super Macho Man.

Hello Seth.

I too remember the smell of a freshly new Super Nintendo system and its games. It had the same smell as the NES and its games as I recall.

I would love to hear your opinions and thoughts about the various topics we have here!
