Welcome, Seth. Ha, I like the way Super G&G tests the limits of a player & makes you go through the whole game again – brutal!

I know — I remember the frustration from finally beating the final level only to have to go back to the start of the game on an insane difficulty level. I think you had to get a bracelet weapon to beat the final boss — it was a headache, but VERY challenging and fun.

Hello all, for now you can call me 256-colours. :) I love the SNES but I’m still pretty newbie to it; my parents thought game consoles weren’t worth it compared to computers that could do so much more back in the day. I’ve always loved video games whether on Mac/PC or at the arcade, and I remember seeing all the hype for DKC back in the day and wanting it so bad. Few years went by and I played some SNES game at my aunt’s house, and my generous cousins gave me their console and collection. That was about when I was 8 or so and at the time nobody was playing those games, it was about the GameCube or the PS2. I played all those games that came with it to death, even though some of them I still can’t seem to beat. For a few years, I had gotten tired of playing those same old games and moved on… until a burst of nostalgia for both the simplicity and majesty of the SNES came back (mostly missing Megaman X and SM All-Stars), and I pulled it out of the closet and set it all up again :) 15 years year later, I went to a local comic convention and finally bought DKC. Glad to see there’s a community for SNES appreciation, I’ve been looking for something like this for awhile. While my collection may be small now, I’m looking forward to many more years of collecting and SNES enjoyment.

Welcome 256!

Nice story, I myself was a devotee of the Gamecube (and still am) but largely ignored the past games I had played until around 05′-06′ time. Since then I’ve restored the love I had with all the past consoles I played throughout childhood. Super Mario A/Stars, MegaMan X & DKC are some of the finest games ever made so its not surprising you got that hit of nostalgia that brought it all back. I think the two games that sum up my childhood gaming experiences would be Shining Force & Secret of Mana.

Enjoy your time here, I look forward to your comments.

Hey there! I’m new to the site, I’m Mexican, 27 years old (as of today, actually) and I LOVE my super nintendo games, no games after it brought me the same joy (with VERY, VERY few exceptions).

Finding good games down here is extremely difficult, finding them in good shape? almost impossible, but when I do find something worth buying the seller rarely knows what it is or how much it is worth so I get some games relatively cheap.

Anyway glad to join the site, I’ll leave a picture of some of my games to show off though I’m sure almost everyone here has a better collection :)

You’ve got some awesome stuff there.Nice copy of Metal combat, as that ones pretty hard to come by (If you like it, check out Cybernator, it’s spiritual prequel.

And where did you get that Chrono, because I MUST HAVE ONE!!!!

Not me, you have a better collection than I do. I use an emulator, so technically my collection doesn’t exist.

The supaboy is nice and all but it doesn’t play my favorite game :( , apparently they all have issues with Mario RPG.

So I have to use my good ol’ console.

also, according to the internet that’s the ONLY game it has issues with :/

Mario RPG is a fantastic game, and the one I recommend to anybody who is interested in RPGs but has never played them. It really speaks to the more action-oriented gamer who may be bored by most RPGs!

Welcome to the site Aldo Chan!

It’s cool to have a user from Mexico join the forums.  This site has had users from (by my count) the US, Japan, Canada, Sweden, the UK and now Mexico.  It seems that love for the SNES transcends all cultural barriers!

Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown
