OfflineWelcome back, John. And congratulations on surviving finals! There is nothing quite like the post-coital relief which follows a semester.
I’m looking forward to your SFII review, especially since I’ve been playing it a lot for contrastive content for my Samurai Shodown review. Which is NEARLY submitted.
Antarch, go to town on that Top Gear review! I saw some videos of footage when I was researching for my TGII review. I’d LOVE to see how the two titles compare/contrast, or if it can hold a candle to F-Zero.
Edit: Samurai Shodown submitted & posted. After such an enjoyable experience I’m going to the other end of the spectrum with NCAA Final Four.

John, you’ve done a great job with the Disney+Capcom platformers, but I have a request. Do you mind if I take dibs on reviewing The Lion King? I remember playing it back in the day, and I’ve recently picked up a cart.
No, I don’t mind. I’m Disney-ed out, and I think it’s good that I don’t produce the bulk of this website’s content.

OfflineNo problem. There’s always more research to be done, no matter how obscure the title.
Edit: I’ve added a couple paragraphs to the NCAA Final Four Basketball review, and it’s now within the minimum.
Also, The Lion King review has been submitted with screenshots. Now I turn to the very first Madden on console, John Madden Football (1992).

I picked up Zoop not too long ago. I found it pretty fun, but I can see how you struggled to arrive at a full review’s worth of material, John.
Thank you, jr. In the same regard, I’ve cancelled the “NHL 96” review. I can’t write about sports games that well.
Edit: I can write about sports games to diversify my writing skills, but I shouldn’t have gone to the middle of a franchise to try it. I should go in order when doing a series.

OfflineSports games can be a challenging genre to review. One has to balance writing to sports nuts, those who know nothing about sports, and everyone in between. I’m not sure how well I strike that balance, but it’s an interesting challenge. I’ve reviewed four football games for the site, and it can be difficult to not rehash the same references and terminology. Heaven help me, there are SIX more Madden games to review for the site.
That being said, it’s always helpful to have fresh perspectives. I appreciated Rushdawg’s review of NHLPA Hockey 93. It was to the point and hit all the basics.
