Hey, everyone! I hope you had a good holiday season, because I did and I’m ready to get back into some more reviews. I’ll be writing reviews of “Animaniacs”, “BioMetal”, “Civilization”, “Final Fight”, “GP-1”, “Jeopardy!”, and “Whizz”; if anyone else wants to look at these games instead, I will make whatever substitutions are needed.
Looking forward to your take on BioMetal. Are you playing the US version with the 2Unlimited sound track or the original Japanese version?

It’s honestly not great (it’s no Gradius III), so I can see why Activision wanted to change it, but the 2 Unlimited tracks just feel bizarre to me. It feels more like a dance party (or Space Jam) than a shmup sometimes.
The SNES sound chip does do 2 Unlimited’s songs justice though!

I’ve also got a cheat code article that I’ve been working on, plus I’ve been considering doing a comparison between Contra III and Contra Hard Corps (still not sure if that’s a “fair” comparison or not).

I haven’t really done much in terms of reviews lately for the past few months. I’m planning to do a review of Super Puyo Puyo 2 Remix as well as either a 2nd opinion of Contra III or Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts, however.
