oh! I can’t wait to read this RushDawg! I’ve been playing a lot of NHL ’94 lately! I wonder how they compare to eachother in terms of gameplay.
NHL ’94 is an amazing game! The main gameplay difference between ’93 and ’94 is that ’93 has fighting and ’94 has one-timers.
Who is your team in ’94? I like to play as the Nordiques. Having Owen Nolan, Joe Sakic and Mats Sundin all on the starting line is a pretty powerful combo!
Now playing: SNES - Phalanx, R-Type III, Genesis - Bio Hazard Battle, PS3 - Dragon's Crown

Offline^ I always play as the Nordiques in NHL ’96. Actually I do have NHLPA 93 but haven’t ever played it, thinking it would be inferior to the other I had it has stayed in mint condition in its box since I had it. So with that in mind your forthcoming review of it is appealing.
I have a number of reviews in the pipeline – GS Mikami, Psycho Dream & Metal Marines are three I wouldn’t mind reviewing.

I also play as Québec’s Nordiques! They are a good ”all-around” team.. Not too strong, not too weak. I prefer using Sundin (RW), Sakic (C), Kovalenko (LW). I’d normally play as Montréal’s Canadiens but Patrick Roy is a too strong goalie for the game. I need more challenge ![]()

Got a little sidetracked trying to articulate my thoughts on Wario’s Woods and Phalanx and ended up working on a review for NHLPA ’93 instead.
Looking forward to that one, Rush. NHLPA was in my long-list, but I’m glad someone else took it on.
And Antarch, how do you feel about taking a stab at reviewing NHL 94? I reviewed NHL Stanley Cup a while back, but was leaving the ultimate SNES hockey classic to someone else.
My current queue includes: Sterling Sharpe: End 2 End, The Blues Brothers, Olympic Summer Games, and one of the Griffey games.

OfflineI don’t believe I’ve played this game long enough to fully understand its details. Also, I have never played NHLPA ’93 or NHL ’95, ’96, and so on.. so I can’t really compare it to anything of the SNES era (my first hockey game was NHL Faceoff 99 on the PlayStation 1). Therefore I dont feel comfortable at all to review it. I would have to leave this task to someone a lot more qualified than me.

No problem, Antarch. Just wanted everyone to know that anyone is welcome to submit a review for any game, so long as it hasn’t been reviewed twice already. Vast knowledge of the SNES library is not needed. In fact, I always look forward to the challenge that reviewing a non-sports game presents, since I am much more familiar with the sports titles.

OfflineWould anyone be interested in reviewing the sci-fi action platformer Flashback? It was on my queue a while back, but my interest has dwindled as many other games have called my name for their shot at a review. I have it and I would gladly pay shipping, so long as there is a promise to give the game a fair shot.
Any takers?

OfflineUPDATE: The “Smart Ball” review is submitted, with screenshots.
With this my queue is finished, and I can’t think of another one for right now. I’d like to take a break at least until next month, and I’m guessing you all would like to as well. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to everyone, and a happy New Year.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year John!
I’m sure you’ve given Masamune months of content. Looking forward to reading your new stuff.

OfflineHey, everyone! I hope you had a good holiday season, because I did and I’m ready to get back into some more reviews. I’ll be writing reviews of “Animaniacs”, “BioMetal”, “Civilization”, “Final Fight”, “GP-1”, “Jeopardy!”, and “Whizz”; if anyone else wants to look at these games instead, I will make whatever substitutions are needed.
